Hampshire Spring Malting Barley Open Day 2024

Come and join us to hear the Robin Appel Team and Syngenta discuss:

• Market Demands: The Robin Appel Team, led by Jonathan Arnold, will be giving their advice on market demands and local variety performance.
• Spring Barley Varieties: Kath Hamlen, from Syngenta, will discuss existing and pipeline spring barley varieties to meet grower and market requirements.
• SFI: Belinda Bailey, from Syngenta, will take you through the opportunities of SFI options, including companion crops, integrating with cropping rotations and the farm business to maximise value.
• Agronomy: We will visit trials looking at disease control, including Syngenta's newly approved fungicide, MIRAVIS® Plus. We will also share our latest findings on endophyte-based bacteria products, NUELLO® iN and VIXERAN®.
• Winter Barley Varieties: Specialists from Robin Appel and Syngenta will take us through existing and pipeline varieties, a look at the latest traits and developments in the hybrid breeding programme, as well as an overview of existing winter malt varieties.
