SYNGENTA - NAME THE SYNGENTA CEREALS BEER COMPETITION RULES

Please read these Rules carefully. “Competition” means Name the Syngenta Cereals Beer Competition. “Syngenta” and “we/us/our” means Syngenta UK Limited reg’d co. no. 00849037. By entering the Competition, you (the “Entrant”) accept and agree to comply with these Rules. In all cases our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

1. Eligibility Requirements

1.1 The Competition is open to residents of the UK only, excluding employees of Syngenta and their immediate families and anyone else professionally connected with this Competition.

1.2 Entrants must be 18 years old or over and we will request proof of age from any potential prize winners.

1.3 Multiple entries are not permitted.

2. Competition Period

2.1 The Competition begins on 23rd March 2022 and closes at 17:00 on the 22nd April 2022 (“Competition Period”). All participants must enter using the online form which can be found on the Syngenta website. No other forms of entry will be accepted. All entries should be received before the expiry of the Competition Period.

2.2 All valid Entries received during the Competition Period will be entered into the Competition. The Competition will be judged and winners decided by the 6th May 2022. Our decision concerning all matters relating to the Competition, including the determination of the winner(s), will be final and binding.

3. How to Enter

3.1 No fee or purchase necessary. To enter, Entrants must suggest one name for a beer brewed using Laureate malting barley, which will be available on our stand at Cereals Event 2022 and provide their name, phone number and email address so that we can contact the winner. The potential winner must provide acceptable proof of age such as a copy of their passport, birth certificate or driving license. If under 18, we will select an alternative winner.

3.2 We accept no liability for lost, late or misdirected entries, for technical failures of any kind or for any human error which may occur in the receipt or processing of the entries.

4. Prizes

4.1 The prize is 1 crate of 24 beers named by the winner of approximate value of £55. There is no cash alternative and the prize(s) is/are not transferrable.

4.2 In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to provide alternative prize(s) of equal or greater value.

4.3 The winner will be responsible for any income tax or other taxes or payments due as a result of winning a prize.

5. Data protection and notifying the winner

5.1 We are the data controller and will use your personal data only to administer the Competition. All use of your personal data will be in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and our privacy policy, which is available at https://www.syngenta.co.uk/content/privacy-policy .

5.2 The winners will be notified by email within fourteen (14) days of the closing date. We will ask prize winners for proof of age and a postal address to deliver the prize.

5.3 If we are unable to contact any prize winner or do not receive a reply within seven (7) days the prize will be forfeited. At our discretion, we may select a new prize winner from the remaining entries.

5.4 Losing entries will not receive any notification.

6. Changes to Rules

6.1 If, due to events beyond our reasonable control, we decide to modify the Rules at any time, we will notify Entrants as soon as is practically possible.

6.2 We reserve the right to change, suspend or cancel the Competition without specifying the reasons and without incurring liability as a result.

7. General

7.1 This Competition and these rules are governed by the laws of England and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
