Join us as we celebrate 100 years of professional manufacturing at our Huddersfield Site!
On the 18th September, 2016 Syngenta will be hosting a public open day where staff, their families and our local community can visit our Huddersfield site to join in our Centenary celebrations. It's a special date for us – as well as being in our Centenary year, it is exactly 30 years since we held our 1986 Open Day.
Entry to the event will be free of charge, however it will be a ticket only event and pre-booking is required.
After online registration, e-tickets shall be issued to your registered email address. This e-ticket shall be required on the day to gain entry and every member of your party must be registered. Please remember to bring this bar-coded ticket with you on the day, it will save you a lot of time. If members of your party plan to arrive at a different time to you, you must provide them with a copy of the e-ticket sent to you or they must register themselves separately. The bar-coded e-ticket is accepted either on a mobile device or by hard copy.
Local neighbours, pensioners who previously worked at the Huddersfield site, members of the public, ex employees of Huddersfield Manufacturing Centre are invited to visit the site between 12:00pm and 17:00pm. We invite you to spend the afternoon learning more about the work of Syngenta.
During the Syngenta experience, we shall offer an opportunity for visitors to take guided plant tours, see exhibits and displays that aim to celebrate the work we do and the contribution we make to society.
We shall also provide entertainment with a selection of inflatable activities, including the traditional bouncy castles, together with a few traditional Fun Fair Rides, such as a Twist and Runaway train ride.
A small charge may be made for Fun Fair rides and all monies raised shall be donated to local charities and good causes.
Food and refreshments shall be available for purchase.
