SYNGENTA UK HARVEST HEROES PHOTO COMPETITION 2020 RULES

Please read these Rules carefully. “Competition” means our Syngenta UK Harvest Photo Competition 2020. “Syngenta” and “we/us/our” means Syngenta UK Limited, reg’d co. no. 00849037.

1. Eligibility Requirements

1.1 The Competition is open to residents of the UK only, excluding employees of Syngenta and their immediate families and anyone else professionally connected with this Competition.

1.2 “Entrant” means the person submitting the Entry into the Competition. Entrants must be 18 years old or over and we reserve the right to request proof of age from any potential prize winners.

1.3 “Entry” means a photo of a UK harvest landscape. To be valid, Entries must comply with the “Photo Guidelines” on https://www.syngenta.co.uk/harvestheroes-photography-competition

2. Competition Period

2.1 The Competition runs weekly beginning on [29/07/2020] and closes at [03/09/2020] (“Competition Period”). Entries must be received before the expiry of the Competition Period.

2.2 All valid Entries received during the Competition Period will be entered into the Competition. The Competition will be judged by Syngenta and we will select one winner, and three (3) runners up at the end of the Competition Period. The winner will be picked on the [10/09/2020] and contacted within fourteen (14) days. Our decision concerning all matters relating to the Competition, including the determination of the winner(s), will be final and binding.

3. How to Enter

3.1 No fee or purchase necessary. To enter, entrants must complete their details and upload their Entry at https://www.syngenta.co.uk/harvestheroes-photography-competition within the Competition Period. Details required are name and email address so that we can credit all the Entrants when we use their Entry and contact the winner(s) to arrange delivery of their prize.

3.2 No other forms of entry will be accepted. We accept no liability for lost, late or misdirected Entries, for unavailability of Syngenta’s website or social media feeds, for technical failures of any kind or for any human error which may occur in the receipt or processing of the Entries or prizes.

3.3 Entrants may submit multiple Entries, however only one prize per Entrant will be offered.

4. Copyright

4.1 In submitting an Entry, the Entrant confirms that they own the copyright in the Entry and that Syngenta and its affiliated companies may use the Entry in accordance with the following licence.

4.2 Entrant hereby grants to Syngenta a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, licence of the copyright in the Entry for all purposes, including, without limitation, publication on Syngenta’s social media feeds, in print, on websites and in other media. Syngenta shall have the right to sub-licence its rights.

4.3 Entrants’ names will be published in order to credit them as the copyright owner or photographer UNLESS they indicate to us in writing (via email to emma.howes@syngenta.com) that they do not wish to be credited.

5. Prizes

5.1 At the end of the Competition Period, Syngenta will award a Treat Filled Hamper of approximate value [£50.00] to the winning photo. Runners up will receive a rain gauge(s) of approximate value [£15.00] and a 1L FCN water bottle of approximate value [£3.00]. Syngenta are responsible for picking the winner and runners up. There is no cash alternative and the prize(s) is/are not transferrable. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to provide an alternative item of equal or greater value.

5.2 We will only post prizes to a UK address provided by the Entrant. We accept no liability for prizes lost or damaged in the post.

5.3 The winner(s) will be responsible for any income tax or other taxes or payments due as a result of winning a prize.

6. Data protection and notifying the winner(s)

6.1 Syngenta is the data controller and will use Entrants’ personal data to administer the Competition, including notifying winners and posting prizes. Syngenta may publish the Entrant’s name in order to credit them as copyright owner or photographer when publishing their Entries in accordance with the licence granted in paragraph 4.2 above. All use of Entrants’ personal data will be in accordance with our privacy policy, which is available at https://www.syngenta.co.uk/content/privacy-policy .

6.2 The winners will be notified by e-mail. We will ask prize winners for a postal address to deliver the prize.

6.3 If we are unable to contact any prize winner or do not receive a reply within fourteen (14) days from selecting their Entry as a prize winner, the prize will be forfeited. At our discretion, we may select a new prize winner from the remaining Entries.

6.4 Entrants who do not win a prize will not receive any notification.

7. Changes to Rules

7.1 If, due to events beyond our reasonable control, we decide to modify the Rules at any time, we will notify Entrants as soon as is practically possible.

7.2 We reserve the right to change, suspend or cancel the Competition without specifying the reasons and without incurring liability as a result.

8. General

8.1 This Competition and these rules are governed by the laws of England and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
