30 years of supporting Lawrence Batley Theatre

Here at Syngenta, we’re celebrating over 30 years of supporting Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield as a corporate partner.

Our partnership began in 1994, when we became a founding patron of the theatre in support of the fundraising efforts initiated by the local community.

Over the last three decades, the partnership has gone from strength to strength. Through regular sponsorship we've helped Lawrence Batley Theatre inspire creativity, nurture local talent and bring high end performances to Huddersfield.

In addition to regular sponsorship, for the past eight years we’ve also donated to Lawrence Batley Theatre’s annual Christmas Heroes appeal, inviting 400 local children to see the festive pantomime, arranging transport to and from the theatre, and treating each child to an ice cream at the interval.

And this year, we’re sponsoring the theatre’s annual festival of outdoor entertainment, Summer in the Courtyard, which brings free live music, comedy, headline DJs, family fun and more.

Summer in the Courtyard is taking place at Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield, between Friday 27th June 2025 and Saturday 26th July 2025.
