For grass weed control in oilseed rape, operators face the extra problem of crop shading emerging target seedlings – the best rates of control are achieved by early applications at the one to two leaf stage. Finer droplets are required to wet shiny grass leaves and generate sideways movement to get under leaves. As the crop progresses through the growth stages the canopy becomes closed to apply fungicides bellow the canopy the Amistar nozzle is recommended.
