Breeders Insights

REFLECTION is a variety with an inherent high yield potential. If pushed it can yield fantastically! This is due to the high number of tillers it keeps in spring, resulting in a vast number of ears to yield good grain weights. This is backed up by outstanding on farm yields over the past 2 years. It's early maturity is also an advantage, it allows the variety to be in the shed before poor weather can break in late summer.

Agronomically, it has short stiff straw, very good resistance to lodging and excellent specific weight for a feed wheat. REFLECTION offers solid Septoria tritici resistance and excellent Brown Rust and Fusarium resistance. A robust fungicide programme including a rust active T0 has been seen to give effective control of Yellow Rust if neccesary. It also brings OWBM and WSBMV resistance.
