Head Teacher's delight at offer of help

Syngenta
In June, Syngenta Huddersfield's Paul Callinan, Paul Marsland, Rob Yelland and Darren Moran visited Rowley Lane Junior and Infant School to present them with new equipment for their pre-school playground.

Paul Callinan’s twin sons attend the school and they asked Paul if Syngenta had any old damaged cable reels that could be donated to them to develop benches for an outdoor learning space.

It was found that the cable reels that we had on site might be inappropriate for young children to sit on but the lads put their thinking caps on and using recycled materials, resident contract partner Galliford’s made three reels and six benches for the school.

The lads also applied to the Syngenta Employees Community Gift Scheme which made a £250 cash donation to the school to help them finish off their project.

Head Teacher, Jenny Shaw was so delighted that she wrote a letter and said "the benches were far beyond our expectations and are a wonderful addition to the environment for our Early years children"
