Rougham T0/T1 Customer Field Meeting - A great success.
Despite the cold, Syngenta hosted a breakfast meeting at Rougham Innovation Centre yesterday. There was a great turn out and plenty of stimulating discussions which is what the site is all about.
The morning started off with Mark Bryant, who is the Rural Crime Officer for West Suffolk. As a very confident and knowledgeable speaker he immediately opened the floor to questions which led to some really interesting topics being discussed. A lot of current issues were bought up and it would seem everyone took something from the session.
The guests then had a tour around the cereal fungicide plots with James Southgate giving his views on T0 fungicides. Some of the key conversation was around the benefits of using CHEROKEE as an early cereal fungicide. James was able to display how we use innovative methods to better understand how our products are working.
Mike Welby, Area Manager at Syngenta took some time to show the attendees around the Hybrid Barley plots which are already looking really good. He discussed recommendations and the ‘Cash Back Yield Guarantee’ that we continue to deliver to our customers.
There was also time to dive into the neighbouring OSR crop to discuss PGR’s and fungicide applications. Positive conversation around the benefits of TOPREX led the conversation with an endorsement from one of the local farmers.
Thank you to everyone who made it; all in all a brilliant morning. The site is looking really good and should set us up for a great open day on the 28th June.
