Current FSOOTY champion, Simon Bailey, and last year’s winner, Martin Woolley, have recently returned from an all-expenses paid two day study trip to the event, with Syngenta spraying specialists, James Thomas and Ben Magri.

Simon Bailey said: “It was a fantastic opportunity and great event. There’s so much information to absorb, and to think how we might use that to enhance the way that we spray.

“Going with James and Ben gave us the chance to meet so many people and specialists from all around the world. Seeing what they do in the US, Brazil and Argentina, for example, puts a new perspective on spraying in the UK," added Simon.

“Talking to Canadian spray guru, Tom Wolf, about his experiences and thoughts on PWM was awe inspiring and thought provoking for the future.”

Simon highlights the whole FSOOTY competition has been extremely valuable in meeting with like-minded people and sharing experiences as operators, as well as being great fun to get together.”
