Join us for the Scottish Malting Barley Conference 2024

If you are growing spring malting barley in Scotland, this is an event not to be missed. We bring together expertise on the subjects of variety breeding, crop management, crop marketing and (vitally) the requirements of the end user. We will also review and learn from trials information gathered over several years on our own soil types in Scotland, looking at agronomy, Nitrogen and cover crop trials.

Contributors will include –

Charlie Birnie, Commercial Director Grainco - summarising the malting supply, current markets, and prospects for 2024.

Edward Jones, Kings Technical Advisor Scotland - the latest information available to help you plan ahead for changes regarding the agricultural policy. A focus on the key benefits of using both winter and summer cover crops within your rotation, alongside practical advice on selecting the right cover crop species and their establishment and subsequent destruction.
