Our health assessment and environmental safety group, based at Syngenta CTL and at Jealott's Hill, helps develop compounds that are safe to humans and the environment. It uses advanced technology to direct our chemists at the earliest stages of research towards compounds that have a benign ecological and toxicological profile. In addition, scientists at Syngenta CTL carry out work on the safety of our genetically-enhanced seed varieties.

Investigative studies carried out at Syngenta CTL on candidate chemical series and on proteins warn us of possible hazards, and they are followed up with careful health and environmental safety testing of our products.
